Day 20

It's already the end of week 5. Completed my new goal of 17 minutes tonight. WOW! I felt great, had good breathing, and finished strong with increasing my speed for the last minute. Just love the feeling of accomplishment after the run. No significant weight loss yet but I have to remind myself that it's about feeling better NOT the number on the scale. Russ also had a great run tonight- he did 20 minutes and almost 3 miles. He will have this 5K in the bag wayyyy before me but it's very motivating for me to catch up to him. I'm glad we are doing this together- it's very encouraging. After the run I did some weight lifting and overall I'm very proud and very happy with my progress.
